Laser Precision Corp.: Due to higher product, sales and marketing costs, the Irvine-based maker of fiber-optic test equipment, reported Tuesday that its earnings for the third quarter were $222,000, down 60.7% from $566,000 a year earlier. Revenue was up slightly at $5.1 million, compared to $5 million a year earlier. As previously announced, the company will sell its Irvine-based Analytical Division to New Jersey-based Air & Water Technologies Corp. for $5 million.
