3 Men Hold Family at Gunpoint for 40 Minutes While Ransacking Home
SANTA ANA — Three men forced their way into a house at gunpoint Monday and ordered four family members to lie face down on the floor as they ransacked the household for more than 40 minutes, police said.
Nobody was injured during the 12:40 p.m. robbery, which occurred on the 900 block of Berkeley Street, police said.
Police declined to release the names of the victims. They also declined to say whether they suspect the incident was gang-related.
The robbers stole three videocassette recorders along with camera and stereo equipment, police said.
They fled in a gray 1987 Mazda pickup truck with a camper shell and the license number 3M19718.
