ONE NIGHT IN BANGKOK: The Long Beach Civic Light Opera will open its 1990-91 season with a new version of Tim Rice’s international hit musical “Chess,” beginning Thursday and running through Oct. 21 at the Terrace Theatre in Long Beach.
