Transient Woman Killed in Attack on Officer
An off-duty Pasadena police officer shot and killed a 30-year-old transient Sunday after the woman allegedly lunged at him with scissors in a Pasadena park, sheriff’s deputies said Monday.
The woman, whose name was withheld pending notification of relatives, was pronounced dead at Huntington Memorial Hospital, Deputy Mary Landreth said. The officer, Louie Armenta, 24, was in his car at Memorial Park when the woman attacked the car and then lunged at Armenta, deputies said.
