Pitcher Armstrong on Reds Disabled List
Associated Press
CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Reds placed starting pitcher Jack Armstrong on the 15-day disabled list and called up first baseman Terry Lee from its Nashville AAA farm club today.
Armstrong was placed on the list retroactive to Aug. 25 because of a right elbow problem, said Reds spokesman Jon Braude.
Armstrong has slumped in the second half of the season to 12-9 with a 3.51 ERA.
