Community College Scrimmages Set
All five Orange County community colleges football teams will scrimmage this weekend.
Orange Coast will be the first to play as the Pirates take on Santa Monica at 1:30 p.m. today. OCC Coach Bill Workman, who has a career mark of 22-18, is starting his fifth season.
Golden West, led by Coach Ray Shackleford, who has a 136-92-9 mark in 24 seasons, takes on Citrus at Orange Coast tonight at 7 p.m.
Saddleback plays host to Mt. San Antonio at 7 p.m. tonight as Coach Ken Swearingen starts his 15th season with a 116-32-1 record. Swearingen has a career mark of 214-63-6 in 28 seasons, including 14 at El Camino College.
Rancho Santiago plays host to Grossmont at Santa Ana Stadium at 7 p.m. Rancho Santiago Coach Dave Ogas has a 46-35-1 record in eight years.
Fullerton plays at 10 a.m. Saturday at home against Long Beach.
