Paramount : Shindig Planned Saturday to Open All America Park
The city of Paramount will celebrate the opening of a five-acre park at 13330 Orizaba Ave. on Saturday.
The city has spent about $2 million designing and landscaping All America Park on land donated by the state Department of Transportation.
The park has a baseball diamond, a soccer field, a wading pool and a stream with waterfalls that meanders around a play island.
City-sponsored festivities will begin at the park at 6 p.m. and feature a Dixieland band, fireworks, games and free hot dogs, hamburgers, soft drinks, popcorn and cotton candy.
