Litton Industries Inc.: The Beverly Hills-based company announced net income of $178.8 million for the fiscal year, up a fraction from $178.3 million a year ago. Revenue totaled $5.16 billion, up 2.6%. The technology-based company reported higher sales and profit in its shipbuilding division and improvement in its petroleum exploration services, helping to offset weakness in industrial automation operations due to a soft automotive industry.
