County IN BRIEF : PASADENA : 3 Face Arraignment in Fatal Shooting
Arraignment was postponed Tuesday for three Pasadena men who face charges of murder and attempted murder in connection with a weekend drive-by shooting in which a woman was killed as she celebrated her birthday, police said. A suspected gang member was injured in the incident, police said. Cedric Anthony Walker, 21; Charles Dixon, 20, and Randolph Anderson Jr., 23, were arrested after the fatal shooting of Charlotte Harris outside a residence in the 500 block of Summit Avenue early Sunday, police said. The arraignment was postponed because the autopsy had not been completed. The shooting occurred shortly before 1 a.m. after Harris and James Vaughns, 35, left Harris’ residence on Madison Avenue, where they had been celebrating her 33rd birthday, Pasadena Police Lt. Van Anthony said. The two were outside the house when the three suspects allegedly drove up and opened fire, hitting Harris in the chest and grazing Vaughns in the abdomen, Anthony said.
