United Artists Refinances Debt: United Artists Entertainment Co. has signed a $2.8-billion agreement that refinances the company’s existing debt, company officials reported. Company executives would not release financial details but said eight institutions led the various financings, with about 100 banks and institutions comprising the financing syndicate. UAE owns or manages 86 cable-television systems serving about 2.7 million subscribers, as well as 2,660 motion picture screens.
