Signs of the Times Look Bad for Fans
Today’s paper advertises the “Jose Canseco Baseball Card Show” at only $22 a crack for his autograph. The same athlete who just signed a $23.5-million contract for the next five years.
What a sad message we’re sending the children: the greed of today’s idols. Where have all the real heroes gone? Certainly, they are not to be found in the ranks of today’s athletes.
