Work Planned on Ventura Freeway
Ventura Freeway ramps, lanes and connector roads will be closed for periods of time this weekend as work continues on widening the freeway, the state Department of Transportation has announced.
From 10 tonight until 10 a.m. Saturday, Caltrans crews will close the southbound connector road of the San Diego Freeway to the eastbound Ventura Freeway and the eastbound Ventura connector road to the southbound San Diego Freeway.
During the same hours, up to three eastbound lanes will be closed between White Oak Avenue and Sepulveda Boulevard and up to three westbound lanes between Van Nuys Boulevard and Haskell Avenue.
From 10 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday, crews will close the northbound and southbound San Diego Freeway connector roads to the eastbound Ventura Freeway.
During the same hours, up to three eastbound lanes will be closed between White Oak and Sepulveda.
The closures are part of a $62-million project to widen the Hollywood and Ventura freeways from Universal City to Agoura Hills.
