Lark Quartet to Open Chamber Season
The Lark Quartet, winner of the 1990 Naumburg Foundation Chamber Music Award, will open the 11th season of Chamber Music at Taper on Oct. 7 at 10:45 a.m.
Under the continued artistic direction of founder Henri Temianka, the 1990 series will consist of four Sunday morning concerts, the last three to be played by the California Chamber Virtuosi, Oct. 21, Nov. 11 and Dec. 9.
As a prelude to the 1991 Mozart Bicentennial, each program will open with a work by Mozart, The opening program offers Mozart’s “Dissonance” Quartet, K.465, and Beethoven’s Quartet, Opus 59, No. 1.
