Olajuwon Fined for Fighting

The NBA fined six players for fighting Thursday, including Houston center Akeem Olajuwon, who was assessed $5,000 for pushing Sacramento’s Greg Kite in the face.

Jerry Reynolds of Orlando was fined $3,500 for an altercation with Detroit’s Bill Laimbeer; Laimbeer was fined $750 for a flagrant foul on Reynolds, and James Edwards, Scott Hastings and William Bedford of Detroit were each fined $500 for leaving the bench area.
