Ventura officials are investigating the cause of a fire that swept through a woodworking shop about 3 a.m. Friday, Fire Chief Richard Achee said.
Achee said shop owner Jonathan Roleder, who builds cedar chests, had $3,000 in damage to his building and an additional $15,000 in damage to materials and equipment inside the building.
Achee said investigators had not yet determined the cause of the fire at St. Jonathan Corp. in the 1700 block of Ventura Avenue.
