CBS Employee Arrested in Cocaine Investigation
In response to a request for an investigation, Los Angeles police went undercover for three weeks at CBS Television City in the Fairfax District and arrested an employee on suspicion of selling cocaine, police said Friday.
Douglas George Krueger, 33, of Van Nuys, was arrested after allegedly selling cocaine to an investigator in a network parking lot. CBS had reported suspicions of drug sales on company property and assisted in the investigation, police said.
CBS issued a statement condemning the use of drugs and vowing to fire drug users. A spokesman refused to confirm reports by CBS sources, who asked to remain anonymous, that more than 30 behind-the-camera employees were being interviewed and that some have been suspended for two weeks with pay.
