Jackson’s Show to Debut in September: Jesse Jackson’s syndicated talk show will premiere in Los Angeles on KCAL-TV Channel 9 next September, and the program’s distributor has assured stations that the show will be delivered even if Jackson decides to run for mayor of Washington. Jackson “has given assurances” that he’ll do the weekly, one-hour TV series, “Voices of America With Jesse Jackson,” said Barry Stagg, a spokesman for Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution. The series, co-produced by composer Quincy Jones, has been picked by 82 stations covering 60% of the national audience, Stagg said.
