Sherman Oaks Woman Killed in Collison
A car was struck broadside by a Jeep in Moorpark Wednesday, killing the car’s 72-year-old driver, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Mary Wynn Besel, of Sherman Oaks, died of massive chest trauma at Simi Valley Adventist Hospital shortly after the 1:45 p.m. crash at Campus Park Drive and Marquette Street, Sgt. Bob Larson said.
Larson said Besel’s was attempting to make a left turn from Marquette onto Campus Park Drive when her car was struck by a Jeep driven by Francis Denardo, 25, of Moorpark, who was not injured. The impact pushed the car into an auto driven by Betty Waldron, 63, of Moorpark, who was not injured, he said.
