Eric Dickerson, one day after saying he might not report for training camp, told NBC’s Bob Costas that he would play for the Indianapolis Colts in 1990.
“If my health permits me and I don’t get hurt all season, no tragedy happens, I will show up for the 1990 season,” Dickerson said in an interview broadcast on NBC’s “NFL Live” pregame show.
On Saturday, he said: “I said I would come back next year. Anything could happen. I mean the sun could fall out of the sky today. But I will come back and play next year for sure. . . . I like the team that I play for. I plan on being there no matter what.”
