Northridge Man Found Shot to Death in Car
A Northridge man was found shot to death in a car parked about a mile from his residence Thursday morning, Los Angeles police reported.
A passer-by discovered the body of Avedis Kurkcuogly, 31, near Rayen Street and Oak Park Avenue about 9 a.m., Lt. Charles Massey said. He appeared to have been dead for less than 12 hours, police said.
No motive or suspects in the slaying had been identified Thursday, police said. Authorities ruled out the possibility that the death was a suicide.
Kurkcuogly was an unemployed jewelry salesman, police said.
