Sealy, Harvey Help St. John’s Defeat Houston

NEW YORK — Malik Sealy scored 23 points and had 13 rebounds and Boo Harvey returned from a one-year layoff with 21 points and 10 assists to lead No. 25 St. John’s to a 76-69 victory over Houston Saturday night in the quarterfinals of the preseason National Invitation tournament.
With 16:22 left to play, St. John’s went on an 11-0 run over the next 5:32 to take a 53-44 lead. Harvey, who sat out last season with academic problems and the first game this season because of an NCAA suspension, had five points and an assist in the run.
