Astronauts Display Spirit of Halloween

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. — shuttle Discovery crew, wearing pumpkin-orange spacesuits, climbed aboard Monday and worked through a practice countdown that sets the stage for launching on Nov. 20 on a military flight.
The four-man, one-woman crew wore an assortment of Halloween headgear, with skipper Frederick Gregory, the first black shuttle commander, sporting what appeared to be a broad-brimmed Confederate army hat.
