Coming Attractions : Arts Awards Presenters to Lay Down ‘Law’:
The television show “L.A. Law” will have a firm presence at the first Governor’s Awards for the Arts on Thursday at the Beverly Hilton. Series creator Steven Bochco and stars Jill Eikenberry, Michael Tucker and Jimmy Smits will act as presenters, handing life achievement awards to, among others, musician Quincy Jones, author Maxine Hong Kingston, artist Richard Diebenkorn and choreographer Bella Lewitzky. Gov. and Mrs. Deukmejian are scheduled to attend the dinner gala that will benefit the California State Summer School for the Arts.
