If you’re planning a trip to Boston, look into buying the new Boston Passport. Offered for the first time this summer, the pass allows unlimited travel on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority system.

It can be bought for either three or seven days. The three-day pass costs $8 and the seven-day version is $16. Passes for children 5 to 11 years are half price. Children under 5 can travel free.

The MBTA encompasses subway lines, trolley cars, bus routes and some commuter rail stops. The system operates seven days a week from about 5 to 12:30 a.m.
