Sanderson to Play Basketball at Canyons
Nick Sanderson, a Times All-Valley basketball player last season at Bell-Jeff High, failed to score at least 700 on his Scholastic Aptitude Test and has enrolled at College of the Canyons.
Sanderson, a 6-foot-4 swingman, had been recruited by UC Santa Barbara and would have signed with the Gauchos had he met the academic requirements spelled out in the National Collegiate Athletic Assn’s Proposition 48. Sanderson averaged 23.5 points and 8.7 rebounds last season.
