250 Arrested at Abortion Clinic

After reading the article about the arrests of anti-abortionists, I applaud the actions of the LAPD and its use of nunchakus .

The protesters were informed that they were violating a federal court order and were individually given the opportunity to be arrested peacefully without the pain caused by the device. Those who resisted deserved what they got, including the man whose arm may have been broken. Anyone who participates in illegal protests does so at his own risk. That man made his own choice.

It’s too bad that the threat of pain and arrest probably won’t stop Operation Rescue followers and make them realize that the group’s misguided actions are not only illegal, they are cruel and inhumane to those women who are already scared and seeking a safe abortion, which, by the way, is completely within a woman’s legal rights, whether Operation Rescue likes it or not.

It infuriates me to see anyone try to force his opinions on others, especially in such a disgusting, degrading manner. Abortion is legal and should stay legal. And until it’s not, I say, “Get out of the way!”
