Boris Becker led West Germany to a 2-1 victory over Argentina in the World Team Cup tennis final at Duesseldorf, West Germany.
Becker gave West Germany the lead by defeating Guillermo Perez-Roldan, 6-0, 2-6, 6-2, in the opening singles, but Martin Jaite rallied to defeated Carl Uwe-Steeb, 6-4, 6-3, to even the match.
Becker and Eric Jelen clinched the victory for the West Germans by defeating Javier Frana and Gustavo Luzauss, 6-4, 7-5, in the doubles.
