Huntington Beach : Driver Held on Suspicion of Hitting 3 Cars, Fleeing
Police caught and arrested a motorist Sunday after he allegedly struck three vehicles, then fled.
Richard Alan Hibbs, 23, of Huntington Beach was arrested after allegedly hitting two parked cars, then striking a third car about 6:15 p.m. near Pacific Coast Highway and Lake Street, police said.
Hibbs allegedly fled the scene in his car and was pursued by police.
Hibbs drove to the 300 block of Seventh Street, where he left his car and ran away, police said.
He was later caught by Officer Clair Cottriel, police said.
He was held at Huntington Beach City Jail on suspicion of misdemeanor drunk driving, hit and run and resisting arrest, police said.
