Polish Strike Continues

WARSAW — About 20,000 striking miners demanding more pay held out for a fourth successive day on Monday in Poland’s four major copper mines. The strikers, who say they have halted all copper extraction in Poland--one of the world’s largest producers--said that talks with mine officials have broken down and there is no sign of a way out of the impasse.
