Spring Weather Today but Cooler Saturday
Today should be more or less a repeat of Thursday’s warm spring weather in Orange County, weather forecasters predict. But they also say that deepening night and morning coastal fog will probably make Saturday slightly cooler.
Hazy afternoon sunshine and no rain should be the weekend story, said meteorologist Pat Cooper of WeatherData Inc., which provides forecasts for The Times. She said the cooler weather will be brought on by a reversal of the winds from offshore to onshore.
The high temperature Thursday in Orange County ranged from 77 in Santa Ana and San Juan Capistrano to 63 in Newport Beach. Low temperatures in the county ranged from 52 in Newport Beach and San Juan Capistrano to 54 in Santa Ana.
Today’s Orange County’s high-temperature readings, according to WeatherData, should be in the mid-60s along the beaches and the mid-70s inland. By Saturday, highs should range from the low 60s to the low 70s. Temperatures are expected to warm slightly again on Sunday. Highs will probably reach into the 80s Monday and Tuesday.
Surf today and Saturday is expected to be 2 to 3 feet along the beaches of Orange and Los Angeles counties; 3 to 4 feet elsewhere in the Southland.
