Products Research’s 1st-Quarter Profit Up 9%
Products Research & Chemical said its fiscal first-quarter profit rose 9% from a year earlier on a 21% increase in sales.
The Glendale producer of coatings, sealants and other specialty chemicals said net income for the quarter that ended Dec. 31 climbed to $1.95 million, or 26 cents a share, from $1.79 million, or 21 cents a share, a year earlier. Sales rose to $27.2 million from $22.4 million.
Products Research said the gains reflected improvement in nearly all of its markets, with double-digit sales gains in aerospace materials, polymers and construction sealants.
