Purdue 100, Cal State Long Beach 53--Jimmie Oliver scored 18 points and Melvin McCants added 17 for Purdue at West Lafayette, Ind.
Loren Clyburn scored 15 points and Steve Scheffler added 10 for Purdue. The Boilermakers led, 53-20, at halftime.
Darrell Faulkner was the only Forty Niner in double digits with 10 points.
Purdue outscored Long Beach, 19-5, and led, 21-7, with 10:45 left in the first half.
Purdue had another long scoring run in the second half, outscoring Long Beach, 20-4, to take a 73-24 lead with 12:50 left.
Purdue shot 55% from the field and had 48 rebounds, and Long Beach only shot 33% with only 33 rebounds.
