Coniston Partners has expanded its $29-a-share takeover offer for TW Services, which owns Denny’s coffee shops and El Pollo Loco restaurants. Previously, Coniston, which already owns 19.1% of TW, was seeking 15.7 million shares, which would give the investment group a controlling stake in the food service firm. Now, Coniston has launched a new offer, expiring Dec. 12, for the remaining shares. Coniston said that 81.3% TW’s shares have been tendered so far.
