Sierracin Reports 36% 3rd-Quarter Profit Increase
Sierracin Corp. said its third-quarter profit rose 36% to $943,000, or 28 cents a share, from $691,000, or 20 cents a share, a year earlier.
Revenue for the Sylmar aerospace firm rose 20% to $22.1 million from $18.5 million in the year-earlier period. The company cited increased shipments of aircraft windshields, windows and canopies from its Sierracin/Sylmar division.
For the 9 months, profit rose 26% to $1.9 million, or 56 cents a share, from $1.5 million, or 44 cents a share. Revenue rose 12% to $61.6 million.
