A court committee reassigned Apple Computer Inc.’s copyright lawsuit against Microsoft Corp. and Hewlett-Packard Co. to a San Francisco judge. The move came just one month after U.S. District Judge Robert Aguilar of San Jose refused to disqualify himself from the case. Apple asked Aguilar in August to bow out because his son has worked for H-P for 15 years. Officials from Apple and Hewlett-Packard said the change was not a result of Apple’s request for Aguilar’s disqualification. Cupertino, Calif.-based Apple is suing Microsoft of Redmond, Wash., and H-P of Palo Alto for allegedly violating its copyright for its Macintosh visual display.
