Performers to Mark Green’s 80th Birthday
Carol Lawrence, Tony Martin, Rosemary Clooney and Dinah Shore will perform at a tribute to composer-conductor-pianist-music executive John (Johnny) Green on his 80th birthday, Monday night.
The event, emceed by Shore in the newly refurbished International Ballroom of the Beverly-Hilton Hotel, is the opening event of the Beverly Hills Pops Orchestra’s 1988-89 season.
The tribute was announced by David Gill Evans, founder-director of the organization. Bill Conti will conduct the orchestra. Tickets: (213) 652-3880.
