Damon Corp. said a Delaware court rejected an attempt by Sherman Oaks-based American Magnetics Corp. and its partners to overturn a Damon anti-takeover shield. The investor group, called Nomad Acquisition Corp., has launched a hostile takeover bid for Damon at $24 a share, or about $200 million for the shares it doesn’t already own. A Nomad spokeswoman said the group will continue its bid for the Needham Heights, Mass., medical laboratory chain.
