Toddco Wins Landscape Contractors’ Top Award

Toddco Landscape Co. Inc., of West Los Angeles, won the sweepstakes award at the 32nd annual Landscape Beautification Awards banquet of the California Landscape Contractors Assn.

Tom Matsuoka of Tom Matsuoka Landscape, Pasadena, was the first recipient of the Rose Marie Head Humanitarian Award. The award was created in memory of the 44-year-old Head, who died of cancer in April. She was the founder and president of Four Seasons Gardens, Compton, and past president of the association.

Other award winners included: Mike’s Landscaping & Maintenance, San Gabriel, Excelsior Award; Koyama Landscaping, San Gabriel, Judges Award; Statice Landscape & Design, West Los Angeles, Colorscape Award; Garden View, Sierra Madre, Special Effects Award; Iwasaki Landscaping Inc., Culver City, President’s Award; Cornell & Wiskar, Los Angeles, Design & Build Landscape Award.

Awards were also given to Bettina Plantlife, Culver City; Brian Johnson Landscape, Los Angeles; L. Barrios & Associates Inc., Irwindale; L.A. Landscape Co., Upland; Mariposa Landscapes Inc., South El Monte; Britton Landscapes Inc., Pasadena; Applied Garden Design, Los Angeles; Luke’s Gardening, Bellflower; Jesse & Alex Landscaping Inc., Marina del Rey; Rama Plant Design, Los Angeles, and Kono Landscape Service, Los Angeles.
