Florence Griffith-Joyner, world record-holder in the 100 meters, and Mary Decker Slaney head a field of U.S. Olympic team members entered in a pre-Olympic meet Saturday at 2 p.m. at UCLA’s Drake Stadium.
Griffith-Joyner, Evelyn Ashford, Alice Brown and Jennifer Innis will make up the U.S. 400-meter relay team that will run against Jamaica. Fred Thompson, the sprint and relay coach for the U.S. Olympic team, said this will be the first time that these four sprinters have raced together.
