Unisys Corp. pleaded guilty in filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission to labor mischarges on contracts with the Army at Ft. Huachuca, Ariz., and may lose other Army work there. Unisys, in a quarterly SEC filing, pleaded guilty to three counts of labor mischarging. The mischarging, totaling about $250,000, occurred between 1985 and 1986. Unisys said it is negotiating to resolve the matter, which would involve a criminal fine and civil penalties. These investigations are in addition to the broader federal investigation into military procurement practices. They had come to light when Unisys Chairman W. Michael Blumenthal made public a letter sent to employees stating that six workers had been suspended as a result of an internal investigation.
