Concerning “Writers Strike: New York Goes Boom” by Stacy Janel-Smith, July 31:
How glad I was to hear that the writers of those silly situation comedies and those trashy television movies had stopped production completely. But then I learned these same writers were spending their idle time writing idle novels. All that America needs is another “kiss-and-tell” or “how-to” or “steamy” piece of literature. I use the word literature very liberally.
