Luck hadn’t been a lady for tyro producer Gavin Grazer.
He was about to close a deal on a book that he’d optioned when the writers’ strike hit. “All the momentum immediately stopped on the project and I was high and dry,” said Grazer, brother of producer Brian Grazer of “Splash” fame.
Next stop: A job driving a tram at Universal Studios.
“There are a lot of people driving who are doing other things on the side,” he said. “You just keep the driving a low profile. When people ask what I’m doing, I say I’ve got a job in transportation to make it sound better.”
He was in transportation about two months. Last week, Teamsters Local 399 went on strike at Universal . . .
