Bellflower : New Parks Manager Named
Richard A. Pierce, a 10-year Bellflower Parks and Recreation Department employee, has been promoted to head the department, city officials announced this week.
Pierce, who has been recreation coordinator since he was hired by the city, replaces Candice Kosmont as parks and recreation manager. Kosmont left the post two months ago to accept a similar position in Pacifica, near San Francisco.
Pierce, who holds a bachelor’s degree from Cal State Long Beach, also worked in the Long Beach Parks and Recreation Department for five years.
