Critiquing Movies and the Folks Who Write About Them : Ripping Roger
Although the animation is a triumph of technique, “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” is an abrasive, noisy nightmare that says violence is OK because “they’re just Toons.”
If this PG-rated movie is supposed to be satire, it should get an adult rating. If it is a “family movie,” then our culture better take a good look at itself.
