‘Arms and the Middle East’
The loss of the $30-billion military sale to Saudi Arabia is a disaster for America and an arms scandal that deserves more mention than it has received. Certainly, it is more significant to American workers in Southern California than the Pentagon petty theft now under investigation.
This monstrous loss to our aerospace industry was at the behest of Israel and was promoted by U.S. congressmen. It represents the loss of tens of thousands jobs for American workers, many in Southern California. We have a right to ask our congressmen, “Who are you working for anyway?” and to demand an investigation into the workings of the powerful Israeli lobby.
We are not so rich that we can afford to give away a $30-billion order to the United Kingdom because a small foreign country doesn’t like it.
