Pan Am, Japan Air Lines and Cathay...

Pan Am, Japan Air Lines and Cathay Pacific said they would reroute flights that pass over the Persian Gulf to avoid the site of the recent U.S. downing of an Iran Air jetliner, according to Travel Weekly.

Two lecture/slide travel programs will be held today by Maps to Anywhere Travel Bookstore, 1514 N. Hillhurst Ave., Hollywood. “European Journey,” including Germany, Austria and Switzerland, will be presented at 1:30 p.m. and “The Many Faces of China” at 4 p.m. Admission to each is $5.
