Surgery to End Arsenault’s Year
Woodland Hills (East) pitching ace Travis Arsenault, who was 6-6 with a 3.17 earned-run average for Taft High this year, will undergo knee surgery today at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys to remove a bone fragment from his right knee.
Arsenault, who will attend San Francisco State, had earlier postponed the operation in order to complete the season at Taft.
“I’ve been in a lot of pain and I have to start looking ahead to college and rehabilitation,” he said. “I put it off long enough. I just couldn’t stay out and play any more.”
Arsenault was 2-1 for Woodland Hills (East).
