Azusa : University Starts Expansion
Azusa Pacific University has begun construction of a new group of buildings at the corner of Citrus and Alosta avenues, including a School of Theology, School of Music and a chapel-recital hall complex. They are expected to be completed in August, 1989.
The long-planned expansion was delayed by litigation after the university sold its hillside campus above Glendora to the Church of the Open Door for $4.6 million. Money from the sale, which had been earmarked for the new buildings, was tied up for more than two years until the Church of the Open Door was able to complete the sale in February.
