Best known as Fred Rated in his wacky commercials for Federated electronics stores, “Hollywood Squares” announcer Shadoe Stevens has been tabbed to replace Casey Kasem as host of ABC Radio’s “American Top 40.” Kasem recently left the pop countdown show that made him a household name to host a similar program for the Westwood One Radio Network. Stevens, 41, signed a seven-year contract with ABC and will begin his stint counting down America’s favorite hits sometime this summer.
