Watching ‘Hemingway’
The six-hour miniseries “Hemingway” was quite excellent--a good script and great performances by Stacy Keach et al. (“A Rip-Roaring Look at ‘Hemingway,’ ” by Howard Rosenberg, May 3).
The 200 or so commercials were impossible to take for any production.
The solution? Tape the show and see it the following day, fast-forwarding all the commercials. That is what I did.
And thanks to PBS, HBO and other cable channels that fortunately soon will replace that bugaboo, commercial TV.
